NEW OPPORTUNITY!
MAEA is sponsoiring a juried art exhibit for high school students, grades 9 - 12, open to MAEA members only. Entries reflect original artwork from students in public and private schools. The deadline for digital submissions is December 11, 2017. MAEA members may submit up to four entries each. There is a $5.00 fee per entry. The exhibiton will coincide with the Youth Art Month exhibit at the State Transportation Building with an awards ceremony on February 11, 2018. EXHIBIT DATES: February 5 - March 27, 2018
Open weekdays 9:00 - 5:00 except Presidents' Day.

AWARDS:
• DAVIS PUBLICATIONS AWARD - $500
• VIRGINIA M. DIANI ADAMS MEMORIAL AWARD - $200
• HAT SISTER AWARD $100

• There will also be several MAEA ART EDUCATOR AWARDS

DROP BOX SUBMISSION DEADLINE: December 11, 2017

• You may submit up to FOUR (High School) student entries.
• Photograph your entries and save them as jpegs.
• Rename each jpeg EXACTLY as follows:
Category.Grade.SchoolName.StudentFirstnameLastname.jpg
Example: Painting.TenthGrade.MemorialHigh.PrudenceCorreia.jpg
• Upload each of your entries to the
RECOGNITION DROP BOX - click here
• Enter your name and your email address when submitting your work via Dropbox.


• Go to PAYPAL and pay for submission. $5.00 per submission - click here for Paypal information.

IMPORTANT DATES
• November 15 - December 11 - Submit digital entries to RECOGNITIONS Dropbox
• December 14 - 15 - Judging
• December 18 - Notification of acceptance to exhibit
• January 8 - 12 - Bring work to Drop off locations
• January 15 - 19 - Work collected from drop off locations
• January 22 - February 2 - Committee preps artwork
• February 3 - Hang work (all help welcome)
• February 5 - March 27 - Exhibit open to Public weekdays 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
(closed Presidents’ Day 2/19/18)
• February 11 - RECOGNITIONS Ceremony
• April 7 - Exhibit Take down



DROP-OFF INFORMATION AND LOCATIONS

Drop-off sites are essential as we strive to make participation in the Amazing Emerging Artists exhibit accessible to all Massachusetts communities. Thank you to all the teachers listed below who have volunteered to be a drop-off site. While drop-off sites have increased and artwork may also be mailed, some regions of the state could still use a drop-off location. If there is no drop-off near you I ask you to consider volunteering (now or in the future).
